Cait Schieneman, LAPC
Professional Counselor
I support clients in situating themselves within broader social and political systems while cultivating a joyful, grounded connection to self, culture, and community. My approach to mental health is holistic and inclusive, incorporating somatic movement, faith-based practices, and other integrative tools to meet a wide range of emotional and psychological needs.

I’ve been practicing as an embodiment coach and yoga teacher in Pittsburgh since 2020. I earned my MSCP from Chatham University in 2024 and currently work under supervision as an LAPC in two local private practices.

My work is best suited for adults navigating complex trauma, relationship challenges, sexual violence recovery, neurodivergence, and narcissistic abuse. I take a person-centered, strengths-based approach where clients are active collaborators in their healing process—empowered to set the pace and direction of their journey.

Some of the tools I integrate include IFS (parts work), EMDR, expressive arts, yoga, somatic processing, and psychodynamic techniques for subconscious exploration. Above all, I lead with empathy and deep respect for each client’s unique worldview, centering safety, autonomy, and cultural context in every session.
